Normally, I'm not one for self-promotion, but it's just plain cool to see your name in print for the first time. It's one thing to be recognized for the work that you've done on a website (like this one), but it's something else to have your name on a publication out there in the "real world".

That's why, I'm happy to announce, that as of March 11th (coming soon), the Wrox book that I wrote a bit for: The PHP String Manipulation Handbook will be released. I know it's still a few days off, but you can always preorder it through Amazon or Barnes and Noble...

It's my first real foray into writing, and I was working under a pretty tight schedule for the chapter I worked on, but it was worth it to now be able to say "I'm published". Man, that's a cool feeling....

So, check out this cool new book in their new Handbook series. It's mainly for the newbies in the audience, but still could be a good reference for the rest, just in case you get rusty on the PHP string functions.
