Tips of Turkeys and PHP
Jan 29, 2003 @ 13:38:32

Over on DevArticles this morning, there's a new article to add into the "Tips and Tricks" category - JV’s Power Tips for PHP (Volume 1).

In this article, he covers all sorts of topics briefly - things like embedding PHP into HTML (jumping in and out), some basic template ideas, and how to "refine" these ideas to make a template that can actually be useful to you and your site (and not just a bunch of includes). For the most part, it's just a replace that PHP does automatically because the children always inherit the values of their parents (hmm, if only that were true in real life, huh?).

With all sorts of examples of how to create and modify this templating system, I'm sure there are endless possibilities for the templates he's written here. It's nice that he does sum up the major points from the article, though, at the end. And, of course, this is just volume one....
