So, you're an "internet contractor" out there, working your tail off to just make a buck, and you suddenly find yourself in need of a place that you can point your clients and tell them "log in here and you can see the progress on your site" - but you have no such place. What's a contractor with so little time on their hands already to do? SitePoint to the rescue!
In one of their latest articles, Plan a Great Client Login System, they start off where every project should start - with the planning. Creating a good client login area isn't as easy as it sounds, and there are a few "gotchas" that you'll need to watch out for. They give you some basic sections that you might want inside, as well as some links to some authentication resources that will help you get your customers logged in and keep them there.
I just wish that they had included some kind of sample code with this article. Instead, they just tell you how to go about creating it, and not really giving you much in the way of help. Vauge terms and descriptions are fine, but when it comes to PHP examples, they need code to back them up. It's that simple.
