Just like they should, Zend has posted their latest PHP Weekly Summary for this past week. This week's issue contains only one real large item - the official release of PEAR with PHP 4.3.0. According to pear.php.net - The PEAR development team is proud to announce that PEAR finally is out of its long beta period. As of PHP 4.3, the PEAR installer is installed by default. Unix support is considered stable, while Windows and Darwin are still of beta-quality.
Also in this week's summary, there are mentions of the improvements to the Zend Engine 2 that are already being worked on, as well as improvements to Oracle connection handling, and some issues that are being had with no-thread safe PHP builds on Windows.
