So, here I am, starting off this new job, and the current "web guy" has things set up pretty well - definitely the most organized that I've seen an installation. CVS repositories, multiple web servers for dev/qa/production, templates for websites, etc...

But, it's taking some getting used to...granted, there's a lot of it that I've done before, but the process is just taking a little longer to adapt to than in previous positions. There's just so much to take in, and, of course, it all makes perfect sense to the lead developer here.

My question to all of you out there is this: what was the oddest setup that you had to "get used to" to work at a new job? I know there's some horror stories out there of coming into places and having to redo everything - and I want to hear them! There's too many PHP developers out there for there not to be some good stories to share - so post some comments here, and give us all some good Friday afternoon reading (heh)...
