Zend also has something to contribute this morning, with their latest PHP Weekly Summary jammed packed with all sorts of goodies from the last week.

This week, they're talking about things like the imminent release of the newest "release candidate" for PHP 4.3.0, with the real release following pretty closely after that. Some of the smaller bug fixes and suggested features are looking promising as well - things like the newly submitted DNS functions, and the suggestions for "ideal error reporting" (which PHP could stand working on a bit).

Some of the other errors that are mentioned are the incorrect sending of HTTP headers sometimes with the CGI version of PHP, some issues with leak() and crash(), and the fact that the variables $PHP_AUTH_USER and $PHP_AUTH_PW were being set quite a bit of the time when they didn't need to be...
