Speaking of interviews this morning - the answers are in for the Monty Widenius interview over on CodeWalkers.com. The users of the site submitted some questions for the interview, and the highest ranked ones were sent off a little while back and answered by Monty, the designer and lead programmer for the MySQL database.
There's some pretty good questions from the users this time (sometimes, they're just a little too generic) - but, with questions that everyone wants to know, like: I know that MySQL really isn't made to work specifically with PHP alone, but since they're so popular together do you think there might be some type of collaboration in the future? and Monty talking about the future of MySQL (version 5) that they are trying to get working with stored procedures. This would be a major leap forward for MySQL, and it could start competing with Oracle for some pretty major markets out there.
It's quite a long interview, as well - with several more questions than some of the ones in the past from CodeWalkers. Definitely a trend they should keep up...
