One of the most famous (probably the most famous) PHP-related person out there has just had another interview with him done by DevArticles. In this latest interview, Rasmus Lerdof talks about all kinds of topics including where PHP originated from and what PHP is best at (and, of course, they use that one same picture that he uses everywhere).
The interviewer goes on to ask him questions about things like PHP's drawbacks, new things the PHP team is working on, and even the infamous question - Do you have any thoughts as to why someone should choose PHP over Microsoft's Active Service Pages (ASP)? Personally, I love his answer - especially the point that he makes about having to pay someone $300,000 a year just to keep your web server up to date and patched because they're the only one that really knows how it works.
And, of course, my personal favorite question: What does that feel like, to create something that becomes an international Web standard language, when you see your creation on thousands of Web sites all over the world? I think you might be surprised with the answer (given how popular PHP is..)
