Well, it figures that there seems to be nothing new out there this morning (they all knew it was coming too, apparently), so instead of posting news, I want to throw this out there for conversation.

I know that bosses don't understand what it takes to get a software project done a lot of times, and I know that, as hard as we may try to set deadlines and show them how long it will take us, invariably, they just don't get it. They walk all over your code, picking out the most arcane things and making you change them.

My question to all of you developers out there is this - how do you work with the boss? Does it always come down to a matter of quality over quantity? (Does more code mean you're being more productive?)

I want to leave all of these questions out there - especially for the weekend...I'd love to get some responses for all of you on this, and see what kinds of places you all are in.
