Alright you Microsofters out there, listen up! PHPBuilder.com has a new article that just might interest you (or anyone else out there for that matter that has to deal with IIS).
In their lastest piece, Installing PHP under IIS and creating a Discussion Forum with Access Database (nice short title) they hold your hand through getting IIS set up on your Windows box, installing PHP on it, and setting up the Access database with a DSN so your scripts can access it. Of course, they give you the code for a nice, simple threaded forum - nothing impressive, but the purpose of this article is just to get you started anyway.
Honestly, once you get PHP set up on your IIS (quite a bit simpler than on *nix, thanks to the GUI), then I'd go get some other forum software, like Phorum or phpBB. Anyone else have a favorite forum software? What makes it that much cooler than the rest out there?
