Well, what would a new week be without the latest PHP Weekly Summary from Zend.com. This weeks covers several topics, including the mantion of another prerelease version of PHP 4.3.0 (because so many bug fixes have come in).

This week's summary covers the prerelease mentioned above (within a week or so), talk about adding a XML validator to replace the current non-validating XML functions, the removal of the $_FILES global from the $_REQUEST global, and some smaller extension problems with Oracle, parse_url, and the ZIP extension.

You can really tell that things are narrowing down to the release fo PHP 4.3.0 - one of the more long awaited distributions of PHP. There's several new things that are going to be added in this release that will make it just a much nicer, much easier language to work with, as well as less buggy.
