3ev are looking for a lead developer with 5-7 years experience to head our small, friendly team in Brighton. Reporting to the Technical Director key responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of developers
• Technical lead on all projects from inception to delivery, designing solutions and technical planning
• Assisting the project manager throughout the project, being a technical liaison with clients where required
• Ensuring high quality
• Deployment and infrastructure management
• Bringing in new technologies to the company

The right candidate will be someone who can lead but also be one of the team. You will have excellent technical and non-technical communication skills and the ability to technical detail simply.

You will have hands-on experience in high-quality web development, server management and good taste in UX implementation. As well as our core technologies, the successful candidate will have a hunger for new and emerging technologies. We have recently worked in Facebook apps, GWT, AJAX, Rails and you would be expected to become part of this...

Other skills required:

• Html, CSS and other standard templating knowledge. Including validation
• Excellent knowledge and proven experience of PHP, OOP and software architecture
• TYPO3 and other CMS experience an advantage
• Code Management, subversion and build script experience
• Other languages - Java, Ruby etc - advantageous
• JavaScript, AJAX and Web 2.0 style programming
• LAMP administration
• SOAP experience advantageous
