John Cox quickly points out that a popular open source community site is now running PHP-powered:

The new Linux.com has been relaunched using Xaraya vice SlashCode. It looks as though they have some performance tuning to do, but the design is nice, and is nice to see the switch.

They've also pulled the NewsForge site back into the Linux.com fold to provide a more unified source for open source information.

On his blog today, Andrei Zmievski points out an article (based on an interview) with him that Linux.com has posted:

Linux.com published an article based on the interview that Bruce Byfield did with me at the Vancouver PHP Conference. It's a pretty good overview of the Unicode effort in PHP 6, albeit with a couple of minor inaccuracies.

The article (by Bruce Byfield) focuses on the upcoming Unicode support that PHP6 will have to offer and what kind of functionality this will enhance PHP with (working with Unicode characters, internationalization, etc).
