PHPCamp is a 'ad-hoc gathering' for PHP community. It similar to barcamp, but more focused towards PHP based web application development. This means that anyone can come to PHPCamp and participate.

Right now the details are pretty tentative, but the even is scheduled to happen on September 20th and will last all day. They're still looking for a venue but you can go ahead and add your name to their list of campers if you'd like to attend.

We are looking to expand our team with senior developers, who will be responsible for development and maintenance of a big project. We are looking for people who are interested in working with us long-term.

• Should have independently worked on website development (database designing as well as programming).
• Should have experience with open-source technologies.
• Contribution to any open-source community would be a big plus.

There is a greater disparity with PHP use in Emerging Markets. The largest number of developers using the language can be found in Eastern Europe (39%). India and Brazil have similar usage at a little over 31%. In contrast, only 21% of Chinese developers are utilizing PHP. In North America, 35% of developers are using PHP.
