The ThinkPHP blog has posted about the official Call of Papers for this year's International PHP Conference happening November 4th through the 7th.

Recently, we experienced a great conference in Ludwigsburg. The attendees' feedback on the conference was incredible and I hope you had as much fun as I had. Although the PHP Spring Edition has just ended, we are already starting to plan the next conference and I herewith send you the Call for Papers for International PHP Conference 2007 in Moerfelden, Frankfurt.

The conference this year will include a "Management Day" and some "Power Workshops" to go along with the usual talks. The deadline to get your talk in is July 10th, 2007 and should be about 30 minutes if it's a short talk, 75 minutes long if it's a normal talk and around 5 hours if it's a workshop. Head over here to submit your proposals.

Many congratulations go out to the Frankfurt PHP User Group today on their 5th anniversary (as mentioned in Marcus Wolff's new post)!

The PHP User Group Frankfurt am Main (PHPUGFFM) will be celebrating its 5th anniversary tomorrow and is planning for a big party, so if you're in the area, be sure to drop by! Well, of course it's a geek party (they're developers, what did you expect? :-)) so there'll be plenty of talks before the actual socializing will start.

Session topics will be Unobtrusive Javascript, $YAJQ ++, PHP Homebanking (the sequel), PHP Dos, Don't and maybes, juicy Joost and ION parser - sounds like a very interesting mix to me.

The meeting will be happening on May 10th there in Frankfurt at around 7:30-8:00pm and will feature some good talks before the party begins. Check out the meeting's entry for complete information.
