<i>Marcelo Araujo</i> has created a <a href="http://msaraujo.orionlab.net/serendipity/index.php?/archives/4-my-first-extension-filter_ptBR.html">handy little extension</a> to help validate the CPF (Cadastro de Pessoa Fisica) and CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional de Pessoa Juridica) of an individual (the Brazilian equivalent of the US social security number).
